Philosophy

The concept of the In2One business is based around the name (In2One). Its meaning is simple. The one (an individual) before embarking into a program of physical change, one must first go into the self. By connecting with the necessary mental and emotional elements: motivation, desire, focus, purpose and perseverance will then bring about change on the physical level. Hence our slogan, “Where mental focus becomes physical reality”. The methods used are very diversified and unique. We use a wide variety of training techniques which include a classical/conventional approach to an artistic choreography of creative movements which are unique and practiced only by patrons of In2One. Our eclectic programs are preventative, corrective and therapeutic by design.

The Nutritional approach is of sound science yet alternative at its base. We partake in group cleanses which detox and rebalance our metabolisms to further facilitate the physical efforts of our training. Our Nutritional practices and beliefs seek to avoid binges, yo-yo-’s and quick fix fads. The Philosophy of In2One is to create balance or homeostasis. Creating balance throughout the many systems of the body is the ultimate goal of the Adult Lifestyle Enhancement Program. Our view of homeostasis is truly to connect the mind, body and spirit.

In2One can best be described by saying, “Before we prepare ourselves to face a serious challenge in life, we must first go deep into our self to align the mind, body and spirit in order to successfully persevere” (In2One). The founder considers his life work and passion to be teaching others how to manage ones physical, mental and spiritual strength and wellness to improve the quality of ones life. A primary R&D element of current and future programs is the concept of Movement, Flexibility, and Space.

Movement: crawling, walking, running, jumping, bending and stretching are all essential to life. The single thing we all have in common is motion. People work out, train and condition themselves in many ways and for varying reasons. Even those of us who just want to look or feel better have to move to do it. It is a physiological fact that increasing range of motion directly effects, enhances and supports strength training, athletic performance, cardiovascular conditioning and is a powerful therapeutic tool for rehabilitation and pain management.

Flexibility: the ability to move joints through their full range of motion without excess muscle tension. Though this seems simple enough, the sedentary modern lifestyle of watching television and working all day in an office significantly hinders this ability. Lack of sufficient flexibility can lead to injury, back pain, less productivity at work, and reduced enjoyment of many activities. As flexibility increases, people find it easier to comfortably perform daily and recreational activities.

Space: freedom of movement is completely dependent upon the availability of space within the body. Without adequate space within the body, efficiency of movement is greatly compromised. Space becomes absolutely essential when we shift our perspective and view space within the body as the foundation of all physical movement. Only then can we begin to respect the importance of its essence.

A secondary element of the programs of In2One is the concept of Proprioception which can be best described as the sense of controlling ones body in motion through space and time. This approach to health and wellness will be diffused throughout the entire range of programs offered by In2One. A partial list of current programs and a brief description of each is provided to emphasis the depth and breadth of the current strength and conditioning programs offered by In2One.
