The Nu-Motion protocol combines deep breathing, massage and stretching techniques into a single naturally flowing class. By combining these three strategies we address, stress, muscle tension, muscle imbalances and weakness; which can all lead to dysfunction and low back pain.
Deep breathing is a simple, but very effective, method of relaxation to reduce stress. Due to the group exercise setting, We use foam rollers for self-massage, self-myofascial release, and trigger point work. As for the flexibility portion of the class, we focus on active, dynamic stretching and partner assisted stretching. Active, dynamic stretching allows for strength development to occur during the stretch. Increasing strength in your new found flexibility results in true and sustainable flexibility improvements. Partner assisted stretching allows for you to go deeper into stretches than you’d be able to on your own.
